Live Performance Review

On 27 - 1Mar 2011, There are Beethoven sonatas for violin & Piano concert, performed by Renaud

Capucon (Violin) and Frank Braley (Piano) at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall. For these

concerts he had to performed whole of The Beethoven Sonata for Violin and Piano works in 3 days, It

mean you can listen Beethoven No.1- 10 on these day.

Both of them are very famous musician For Capucon, He had played concertos in many orchestras

such as the Berlin Phillaharmonic, The Boston Symphony,The Orchestre de paris and The Simon

Bolivar Orchestra. For Braley, He has been invited to play with many Orchestras as the London

Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra della swizzera, Orchestra de Paris and

Toulouse Prchestras and Berlin radio Orchestra

I went to the concert just only 28Feb.The program for that day was The Beethoven Sonata for

Violin and Piano No.3, 4, 9.Capucon and Braley were very good responding for each other, I saw their

eye contact in a whole of concert, which means they had very good communication to each other. The

beethoven sonatas were very difficult pieces but They can played like it very easy.

For my opinion, I like “The Beethoven sonata No.9” the most because they played this

piece very well and interesting.

This concert was the most interest concert of this semester in yong siew toh conservatory

because you can listen a whole violin sonata works of Beethoven and the artists were very famous and

very fantastic too

he is too young to conducts. isn't he

http://www.ted.com/talks/astonishing_performance_by_a_venezuelan_youth_orchestra_1.html

In this video is the top youth conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Actually I think he isn't a

youth anymore because now he's 30 years old already but if we compare with a great conductor

for this reason he 's so young. He 's began to study conducting in 1995, I think It 's really fast

to be a conductor and he can do it very well.  I didn't know him before when I watched this clip

and then I searched his name in internet and I really surprised his profile is very interesting

he was conducted with Israel Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic

and San francisco Symphony. He won the Gustav Mahler Conducting Prize in germany

I think his profile be able to guarantee him but if you want to know how is he ,you should

watch his conducting in live concert or internet.

finally, if  someone ask me "Is he too young to  be a conductor?". I will tell them

"No he 's too young but now he can conducting really well ". Actually for me I think the age isn't

important thing, I think ability is important than age.

How music makes me feel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zyJI7e-daQ

This piece is  Elgar's ""salut d'amour" by Boguslaw Furtok. Boguslaw Furtok is

the most favourite double bass player for me. I always watched all of his video in youtube.

when I don't have any idea left for the music i'm practising. I always watched his video to

find other idea for playing. He be able to play the difficult piece as its easy.If Double bass player

play a violin's piece or cello piece it's really hard to play in melodious because

Double bass is a really huge then it's more difficult to play in Double bass.

Boguslaw Furtok be able to play in sweet sound. I think He is a good Double bass player

and good musician for me.

salut d'amour have a english name is "Love Greeting". Elgar composed this piece from

consist the english poem "The Wind at Dawn" by his fiancee.

the melody of this piece is very beautiful and fascinating. I think I will play this piece in someday
